Adventures in the Kitchen 1

I reside squarely in the center of Bergen County, a hot spot for Covid19, so I am self quarantined in my house. What am I doing? Cooking. Everything. I want to share some pictures and recipes with you during this time. To me, it's like a cooking adventure. I try something new everyday to keep the four of us well feed, entertained and my mind off the reality of what is going on outside my front door. Here are some of my favorite things.... Stay tuned for more....

I didn't have confectionary sugar so I made the cinnamon rolls without frosting, but I will be buying it soon so stay tuned for more recipes with confectionary sugar. For breakfast, I have made so many quiches because they are a delicious, healthy breakfast and a great way to introduce vegetables. I also made a low fat banana bread to use up all those frozen bananas I put in the freezer that we don't finish. To go with my recipes, I make a pot of hot tea every morning (my favorite is Earl Gray) and we fill out glasses with ice cubes and pour the hot tea over them for refreshing iced tea or we can have it hot. Either way, tea is so comforting and I great way to start the day.
