Anderson Park located on North Mountain Ave in Upper Montclair near the train station. It is a great local park for a walk, bike ride or relax with a book or picnic lunch. The park is studded with very old, large towering trees with a flat, paved walking path with benches and park lights. You will find people walking their dog, kids bike riding and people catching sun enjoying their free time. The great thing about Anderson Park is that it is located around the corner from downtown Montclair where you can find Marcel's Bakery & Kitchen. Marcel's Bakery & Kitchen is a great place to buy Mediterranean food such as sandwiches, omelettes, salads, pastry and coffee but shakshuka is their specialty. If you haven't tried it, you must! A hearty spicy tomato based stew with eggs served with toasted buttered bread. It's simply delicious.
