Take a walk around Congers Lake, Clarkstown New York in neighboring Rockland County. This free park has a paved trail with several lookout points along the lake. You make see herons, ducks, frogs on water lilies and other water creatures. After working up an appetite, stop by the Rockland Bakery. The Rockland Bakery is one-of-a-kind. Here, you can go to the back of the bakery, put on gloves, pick up a bag and pick out hot bagels dropping from the chute. Watch your fingers, they are steaming hot. If you would like to purchase loaves of bread, there are racks of bread to pick out load of bread you wish. Some varieties include, challah, french, raisin, button, rye, and tons more! Go back into the bakery and they will slice your loaves of bread. So good, I could go everyday!
