Christmas is a great time to visit Drumthwacket, the official residence of our New Jersey Governor. The mansion is open to the public on certain days of the week, but you will need to make reservations. It is suggested to visit during the Christmas season as the mansion is beautifully decorated. There are several rooms to see including a library and a decorated dining hall and christmas trees. The architecture is a refreshing to see and the mansion is set on a rustic piece of property. You can also walk around the grounds which has a pond and you may see some geese so watch where you step. Get something for your high NJ taxes and visit Drumthwacket for free! While you are there, visit the home of Albert Einstein and have lunch in Princeton. If you have even more time, visit the beautiful Princeton campus. So much to do in this charming town.
