Duke Farms, Hillsborough, NJ

Updated: Jun 17, 2019

Come see the splendor of Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ featured in the New York Times. Duke Farms was the home of Doris Duke, heiress to the tobacco company before donating it to the public. The estate has 2700 acres to explore. You can ride a tram that stops at all the highlights found on the property, or rent a bicycle or explore on foot. Some highlights include an orchid solarium, bridges, old ruins, beautiful views, ponds and various structures. The tram is complementary and the bicycle is about $5.00 for several hours. This is one of the most beautiful places in New Jersey and the entrance fee is free! Great for a romantic stroll. Photographers will soak in the sights found at Duke Gardens. Can't miss this one.
