Cranford is located in Union County and has a delightfully attractive wonderful downtown with a train station as its hub. On both sides of the train tracks are lots of restaurants and stores to visit. This was voted one of the best towns to live in New Jersey and after visiting Cranford, I see why. There were black glass lights along sidewalks lined with restaurants and shops. Some places worth mentioning are the Paris Cafe, Garlic Rose, Kilkenny House, among many, many others. The town seemed to have a Portugese and Italian influence. In addition, there is a local movie theater in the center of town. I stumbled upon Cranford after reading about it in a New Jersey magazine and thought it was worth a visit. I was correct, but I need more time to explore because there are so many more places to visit in this town, I will be back very soon.
