Downtown Denville is a really nice area with a cute downtown for you to eat your way through. It has many places to dine and explore. Below you can see the all the places you will find in this fun town. I love Thather McGee's, an Irish pub with great Irish coffee. There is also a fancy Chinese restaurant, beautifully and authentically decorated with great food, particularly the pu, pu platter. They have a vegetarian restaurant, the Metro Cafe, which is great and several Italian places. I can't think of a reason not to go. However, the highlight might be Sweet Expressions which seems like a movie theater turned sweet store. Inside this delicious store is packed with all types of candy, chocolate and nifty novelty items, even the door handles are filled with jelly beans. Sweet Expressions also offers cooking lessons geared toward all interests: kids, comfort food, breakfast food and more with a schedule of offerings on the door. Nearby is a small park called Muriel Hepner Park which has a lake and a paved path around the lake with a gazebo and bridge or two. It also has paths off the paved walkway to explore the wood around the swampy area that it surrounds. We sighted mallard ducks and high swamp plants. Bring binoculars to see wildlife up and close. Walking around the path three times which is a mile so you can get your steps in. It's a nice place to visit. Just another note: Denville is about 10 minutes to the Rockaway Mall, a convenient place to shop.
