Ford Mansion was home to George Washington and the Continental Army during the coldest winters during the Revolutionary War. The Wick House at Jockey Hollow was used by the Continental army as its winter encampment site. The Mansion is the large white formal house where George Washington and his wife, Martha often resided. The Wick House at Jockey Hollow is a more humble house supplying just the basic needs for soldiers. Both historic sites are worth visiting to learn how Morristown help shape history.
