We heard about Gring's Mill from a lovely server at the Kutztown Tavern and after looking at the great reviews, we decided to go on an adventure. Wow, it was great. Along the way we stopped at Wawa for a turkey and cheese sub and an iced tea and we were ready to go. Located outside of Reading PA in Wyomissing and near one of the Penn State campuses, Gring's Mills has historical buildings along miles of trails along the Tulpehocken Creek. We had lunch under a covered picnic table and found all the beautiful historic sites along the trail. Wildflowers were in bloom and the creek was quickly flowing over the rocks. After enjoying Gring's Mill we took our son to the Creamery Park in Macungie PA near his school in Kutztown, The Creamery is a local beautifully manicured park with a paved walking path surrounding soccer fields and playgrounds. We went while the sun was setting and it was gorgeous as you can see from the pictures. A day in the country in the wonderful state of Pennsylvania.
