There are some really lovely towns in South Jersey with easy transportation to Philadelphia. The lovely, upscale and historic town of Haddonfield is worth a stop for two reasons...1) cute shops along Kings Highway and Pennypacker Park. The shops downtown have many unique stores such as the British specialty shop which sells packaged traditional food, small items and novelty gifts. There is a specialty coffee and tea shop among other cute places. A mile away is Pennypacker Park for a leisurely walk. It is just enough to soak in some sun or walk off a doughnut or ice cream purchased from some of the eateries on the main street in town. If you are in South Jersey it's a nice place to stop.
