Years ago, I won tickets to the Land of Make Believe. I took my kids and I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a family owned business that has a carnival type atmosphere. It's perfects for kids and tweens. There are plenty of rides, most are mild and some thrilling. Rides include a roller coaster, carousel, train ride, tornado, tilt-a-whirl, T-rex, rockin tug and more. There is a new off road safari adventure at the park. In addition, there is a great water park with a lazy river! You can stay in the lazy river as long as you like. Lockers are available to put towels and dry clothes. Visit Santa in the Summer at Santa's Barn. Parking is free at Land of Make Believe. Food is available and picnic areas
The Land of Make Believe is very close Jenny Jump State Forest where glaciers once resided. It is a legend that the park was named after a girl named Jenny who was being chased by an Native American. Her father said "Jenny Jump" and she jumped to her death on Jenny Jump Mountain. You can hike in the park and visit the panoramic views of the Kittatinny mountain range.
