Liberty State Park in Jersey City sits on the shore of the Hudson River right across from a beautiful sight...the Statue of Liberty. Liberty State park has a promenade and benches and people jogging, walking their dogs and enjoying the view all take advantage of this beautiful park. There is a touching 911 Memorial at the park that represents the twin towers. The park has playgrounds and bike riding paths. It is here you can take the ferry to the famous Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. There is more to see on Ellis Island which has a large visitors center showing movies of people coming to America and other historic items.
