The Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, NY is a National Historic Landmark on 67 acres of property overlooking the beautiful Hudson River. It was the home of railroad magnet, Jay Gould. I visited the Mansion many years ago when it was decorated for Halloween. We were able to walk around the expansive grounds which had some incredibly old trees that my children were playing under. Special tours are offered to the public as well as special events during the year. The fee is $5.00 per person to visit but more for the tour. It is special to walk the grounds. You will enjoy the Lyndhurst Masion.
