Meadowlands Environmental Center, Lyndhurst, NJ

The Meadowlands Environmental Center also known as the Richard DeKorte Park is located in Lyndhurst, NJ. This center is built on a tidal marsh and former garbage dump. The Environmental Center has an observatory, educational center, trails,organized nature walks and are free to the public. The Hackensack Riverkeepers are associated with the Environemental Center and offer several eco-cruises on pontoon boats designed to to teach the ecology and history about the wildlife who call their home the Hackensack Watershed. These tours require reservations. Enjoy the spectacular New York Skyline at the Meadowlands Environmental Center while seeing all the birds at this NJ Audubon center.
