Observe Inflating Balloons for the Thanksgiving Day Parade, New York City

The night before Thanksgiving, you can take your family to New York City to enjoy a real special treat. Walk by the enormous Macy's Day Parade balloons being inflated. Workers are getting ready to prepare the balloons for the Parade. Most of us have plans on Thanksgiving or don't want to venture out and fight the crowds to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, we do the second best thing, come and watch the balloons being inflated. This is such a treat and a memorable experience. The kids will love to see Spiderman, Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Grover and Spongebob coming to life as they grow to larger than life size. You will need to stand on line but it goes fast as the excitement builds as the kids try to figure out what the balloon will look like as they get inflated. Seeing the balloons up and personal is so fun, it's such a great experience. Bring hot chocolate and enjoy the crisp November air. You will forget the cold as you walk by and see all the characters getting ready for the most famous annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. The ginormous balloons are inflated around the American Museum of Natural History (77th and 81st Streets, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue). Just a hint...you will not find parking. NYC is the most crowded on this special weekend. I suggest take public transportation. It's work the trip.
