Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ offers public shows at a low cost and caters to all ages and interests. Chris and I saw a Bon Jovi laser light show for $10, a real bargin. In the lobby of the planetarium theater there are fun, interactive displays of the solar system. Entering the lobby you get the fun experience of walking though the arched tunnel with changing colored lights. It feels so science fiction and it's fun. Right outside the planetarium is an observatory to view the moon and constellations through high power telescopes. College students who run the observatory are very knowledgeable about the stars and nebulas and use a laser pointer to show us other things in the sky. They told us what we were seeing and answered all our questions. The observatory is open to the public for free on Saturday nights but it's best to go on a clear night. Why not go? It's a romantic date night idea! Around the corner from RVCC is Willie McBride Irish Pub where there is live music on Saturday nights and what a better when to end the night with an Irish Coffee!
