This lovely park located in Kinnelon NJ is a place I used to go with my parents growing up in Morris County. The entrance to this beautiful, clean and well kept park can be easily found off Route 23, but the road getting to the park is a steep and windy. Once you get to the top of the hill, there is a parking lot leading to the picturesque park. There are plenty of covered picnic tables on the grounds, but the highlight of this park is the beautiful lake surrounded by various types of trees, tall grasses and large rocks. There are several trails at Silas Conduit Park. An easy, small trail around the lake is flat, shady and easy to walk. The other trail is on the side of the softball field with a large gravel path entrance. This enjoyable trail is more rigorous with some steep areas, but is worth hiking. There are some benches along the way to stop and sit and enjoy the shade. There are other trails as well but these two trails are my favorite. Pack a lunch and spend the day. You will love it!
