Sketch at the Frick Collection Museum, New York City

Updated: Jul 29, 2019

The Frick Museum was the residence of American financier and fervent art collector, Henry Frick. During his lifetime, the wealthy Henry Frick collected numerous pieces of famous artwork which is on display at the Frick Collection. There is an admission fee, but free drawing programs are available at the Frick Collection on Wednesdays where you can draw in the galleries of the museum with ateliers. There are also selected Saturdays that offer sketching in the Garden Court free of charge to the public. Drawing materials and fold up seats are provided. It's the best kept secret. In addition, they offer a pay-what-you-wish on Wednesday from 2-6 pm and have free evening hours on the first Friday of the month from 6-9 pm. The Frick is located on the Upper East side in Manhattan on the edge of Central Park. This is a great place for art lovers and an opportunity to hone your drawing skills.
