Thomas Edison Museum, West Orange, New Jersey

Updated: Jul 17, 2019

Great for history buffs, the Thomas Edison Museum, a National Historical Park, located in West Orange is the home of the late Thomas Edison and his laboratory. It is here where many things we use were invented, including the light bulb. Thomas Edison was one of our greatest inventors and it is a step back to see his rudimentary tools and large heavy machinery that was used to develop the most important items of our time. There is so much more here than I would have expected. You can meander from lab to lab on the premise and see the museum in the larger building. His house is in a different location, yet nearby, and you need reservations to visit. It's worth a trip. Great visit for a boy scout, girl scout trip with your tweens. They will be amazed and so will you!
