There are so many wineries in Pennsylvania that are worth visiting. Two that we explored were Vynecrest and Setter Ridge wineries in Berks County, PA. Vynecrest Winery has a old stone building where you can buy appetizers, snacks and wine. The large dining room is fitted with ceiling beams, dotted with twinkle lights, wooden tables and a piano. Or, you can also eat outside on picnic tables overlooking the vines with rolling hills in the background. Settle Ridge Winery is located on top of a large winding hill. When you arrive, there is a panoramic view and a gentle breeze. It is a small building selling their wine, but no food. However, there are tables outside and live music on weekends. You are free to bring your own food to eat along with your purchase of wine. Owners of Settle Ridge invite guests to walk through the vineyard to enjoy the beauty of the property and appreciate the vines that bring forth that delicious libation.
