Watching gliders at Blairstown Airport

Updated: Jul 15, 2019

i found this place by accident. It is a rural airport that offers gliding rides. A glider is a small plane with no engine that is pulled up about 1,000 feet or so and then the plane let's go of the rope and the glider slowly glides to the ground, giving the viewer the opportunity to see the Warren County, and Delaware Water Valley from an aerial view. If you are not afraid of heights, this would be fun. However, if you can't bear to go up that high, it's fun to have a picnic and watch the planes go up. There are picnic tables. They also have a restaurant on site if you want to have a meal at the airport. Either way, it is set in a beautiful rural area, away from Bergen county. A fun day out or up!
